Jason Helsel: I think what makes truck accidents so much different than vehicle accidents are the injuries. And it goes without saying, when you're dealing with a truck accident, you're dealing with a much heavier vehicle, a much heavier object. The impact is more violent, and the injuries are more severe.
Mark Vogt: The other thing is, trucks are really two vehicles on the road. There is the actual truck that we think of. Then there's the trailer, and the trailer's a whole different set of rules and regulations, and in fact, has its own insurance policy required on it. So when you're hurt by a truck, if we're talking about a commercial truck, there are actually two vehicles involved there. A lot of people don't know that. And so truck accidents can be very unique, both from the injuries and also from the ultimate compensation you are awarded.
